Peugeot 205 Hatchback 1.8 XLD 3d (1989/F) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Reliable and hard wearing.
Costs
Cost little over £500. Puts some more expensive cars to shame.
-
On the road
Driving
Excellent handling. Always feels like you're in control. Best with 185/R14 tyres on GTI alloys.
Performance
Bit sluggish, but good cruiser. Not bad for 50+ MPG.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Fantastic. No problems getting going, even in the worst Scottish weather.
Image
With the 1.6 GTI alloy wheels, it is a reputable little motor.
Comfort
A little basic, but nothing to grumble about.
-
Security and Service
Security
Nothing great. I use a disc lock and face-off stereo to be safe.
