Peugeot 206 Coupe Cabriolet 1.6 Allure 2d (AC) (2004/04) Owner Review

Economy
Value
If you want a two seater sports car then this is it, cheap insurance, high level of security, lots of added extras which you would have to pay extra for with another manufacturer.
Costs
The Allure - limited edition came at a limited price - which was more than reasonable considering the level of equipment included. The 1.6 Allure out performs the 2.0 model hands down on fuel economy and is much cheaper to insure.

On the road
Driving
With all the added extras e.g. ESP, ABS etc. The car handles like a dream. Slightly unstable when roof and windows are down, but why go at speed then - this car is an ideal cruiser.
Performance
2.0 version is too big an engine in this little sports car - suffers from lack of grip in most driving conditions, 1.6 version is a great all rounder.

Living with it
Reliability
early roof seal problem, but otherwise very reliable car.
Image
Fanastic, pick the right colour and a few added extras e.g. rear sports lights , chrome hoops and this compact sports car is a true head turner roof up or down.
Comfort
For two people it's ideal - the car is not a 2+2 car, the rear seats are a waist of space.

Security and Service
Security
Deadlocks and thatcham ultrasonic alarm as standard on the Allure. Additionally to this, I suggest a steering wheel lock but that's only personal preference. Etched windows and tinted glass as standard.
Service
Friendly helpful service, no matter what the problem only too willing to help.
