I have always loved hot hatches and didn't want to spend silly money. I have had type R's and a cooper s so I wanted something a bit cheaper.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
The driving position is a little awkward you need long arms and short legs to get comfortable .The steering is very heavy, as is the clutch. The throttle response is very poor and uses a "fly by wire" system so you can’t adjust it with out a computer and some expensive software. The engine has to be worked hard with the power coming it at 4000rpm. There is loads of front end grip but lift the throttle on a hard entry to a corner and you can kiss the back end good bye. If you are driving hard you are very much aware that the car is planning new and exciting was to ensure you end up on fire upside down half way up a tree. That said the 206GTI 180 is an absolute blast, and you wont be disappointed. It is like having a very good friend but they do occasionally murder people with an axe.
What's it like to park?
Very easy. The rear and side visibility is excellent. The turning circle could be better but any hot hatch I have ever driven suffers the same problem.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Touch Wood not yet. There is a judder when you pull off in first if you are below 2000rpm. I did think it was the clutch pressure plate however there is no judder in reverse. This judder seems like a common issue with the 206 GTI180 due to the long 1st gear ratio.
What's most practical about your car?
Not a bad size boot (I have just come from a mini cooper s though l0l) rear leg room could be better but will take two adults for short trips.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Quite a well packed out little car. 6 cd changer, auto lights, auto wipers leather a sweade trim, trip computer, 6 air bag's, esp, abs with ebd. A lot of standard equipment which is really nice to see.
