Franchised

No
What price did you pay?
£0
When did you buy the car?
September 2012
Did you get a good deal and why?
Yes, the screen price was around that of similar cars on websites such as Parkers but we negotiated a discount and a new MOT when one wasn't required for another six months. I also negotiated increasing the three month warranty to a full year, at no cost to us.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Low insurance group and purchased from a main Peugeot dealer. I previously owned 3 Peugeots and had a satisfying owner experience.
What was the dealer like?
The dealer was quite small and very busy as it was around the September new registration period. There was a bit of waiting around required for picking up the car and we needed to take the car back as the steering was pulling to the left. I noticed there were matching tyres on the rear of the car but the front ones were different. I asked the dealer technicians to road test it and change the tyres from front to back which they did. After just two months, paint started to peel from the roof for no apparent reason and I negotiated with the dealer for a free repair and they resprayed the whole roof as a goodwill gesture. This was particularly good as the car was over seven years old at the time.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
It's a great all rounder. Whilst it isn't a quick car, it is more than adequate for all types of driving from town to motorway driving. I find it most relaxing around 60mph on motorways and better for fuel economy too, which is otherwise not as good as would be expected from such a small engine. I knew this before I bought it and use the car most for journeys out of town.
What's it like to park?
Easy, although I don't like the way I cannot see the front of the car, despite being 6'2".

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Apart from the paint flaking on the roof for no apparent reason and the boot catch coming loose (both fixed free of charge) the car has done 7,000 trouble free miles since I bought it.
What's most practical about your car?
Five doors, split fold rear seat, compact size.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Standard CD player is of fairly good quality when turned up to a loud volume.
