In their own words

Britain is besotted with SUV's, most of which are generic, identikit designs hard to tell apart. The Peugeot 3008 SUV is one of the few that stands out and turns heads, which one of the reasons I bought it, but not the only one. I had a 2011 1.6 Allure Hdi, a pearl of a car, bought s/h in 2014 and sold it at 70k to buy this one. It was a hard act to follow, but I am delighted with my 3008 SUV. It is smooth, quiet and comfortable, easy to drive, with plenty of push from the 1.5 diesel when needed. The switchable display is clear and distinctive and most controls are easy to use instinctively. Economy is at least 10% better than the previous model, easily reaching 60+ on long fast runs. Parking is made easy with front and rear sensors plus a reversing camera and auto dipping mirrors when reversing. Drawbacks? There are some. Like most modern car makers, Peugeot have piled into touch screens to control sounds and heating. In my view, this is a backwards step. It's hard to drive safely whilst poking at a screen, especially on Britain's bumpy roads, in fact it's more dangerous than using a mobile phone. Knobs and switches are still best for some things! Also swapping the cd player for a single usb socket was mean. Two sockets at least should have been provided. Would I buy another? You betcha!
