Peugeot 3008 review (2023)

Want to know everything there is to know about this car?

In their own words

I have bought this car recently, so will have to wait a few months before confirming my suspicion that this will prove to be reliable. The great thing about this car is that it feels so much nicer to be inside and to drive than the VAG SUV clones (Ateca, Tiguan etc) which I tried before buying. The interior, to quote my wife, makes you feel like you're living in the future. The twin screen setup was very intuitive to use. If you have a smartphone you'll be able to master it inside of a few miles. Most of the functions can be run from a suite of two dials and four buttons on the steering wheel. The exterior has been getting admiring glances even from actual young people. The ease of use is great. Cubby holes are everywhere and the one between the front seats is both cavernous (my arm disappears into it past the elbow!) and chilled. The seats, for that matter, are very comfortable. I just got the standard ones, as there was really no need to upgrade. I did get the glass roof, kids favourite and mine too. I bought the Gt line but only because I didn't want to wait for factory order of an Allure with a few option boxes ticked, there being none in stock with the aforementioned roof. I recommend you Dave money and get the allure, as the features that come with Gt Line are mostly not functional, just the sort of styling upgrades you will struggle to notice. That said, now I have one the LED lights, black roof lining and (middle age be dammed) felt-lined rattle-free door bins are really nice to have. This suits our family of two not very tall adults and boys of 5 and 2 years old perfectly. Big enough to swallow people and buggies etc, small enough to park and nice enough to make us feel a bit special.

How reliable do you find the car?

Very early days, having bought the car recently. Certainly everything works as advertised and the feel of the car is solid.

Does the car do everything you expected it to do?

I am surprised by how much power the 1.2 petrol has. It is very quick and maneuverable to dash round town in and manages a family of four on the motorway with no issues. The car feels small enough to park easily and the reversing camera is so useful; I have used it to reverse down a narrow cobbled alleyway that used to scrape the alloys on my audi A3. No issues with this car despite the extra width.
