Three engines to choose from: a 1.6, 1.8 and 2.0. the 2.0-litre is the better choice, as it’s punchy and makes for a better cruiser; the 1.8 is a good engine, too.
You may notice the body flexing (what car nerds call scuttle shake) – but you’ll get this on any small convertible of this age. Good steering, precise gearchanges and a decent ride. Just the thing for lazy summer evening drives.
