Summary
What does this car say about you?
Scruffy and cheap. My other cars are expensive so for a low profile it is great.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Eyesore, wreck or thrifty, depends on the neighbour. from 10 feet it looks tidy.
Would you buy this car again and why?
yes, cheap to buy, to insure, to tax, to fuel, to service. Made a great second or third car.
What are you likely to buy next?
Jaguar XJ - fantastic value at the moment

Didn't buy from a dealer

No

£900
When did you buy the car?
June 2005
Did you get a good deal and why?
Yes, the previous owners had replaced the cat, numerous suspension and brake parts.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
It was cheap and red with a sunroof. My wife wanted to learn to drive and it had a very insurance friendly 1.4 litre engine.
What was the dealer like?

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
It is an old car so it is not as sharp as it was. My wife hates the manual steering which can be a bit heavy. (Not as heavy as a 1975 triumph 2000)However it nips along quite nicely and I quite like it. the gearchange is beoming sloppy but it is just more of a challenge.
What's it like to park?
Piece of cake. my wife prangs it quite oftem when parking.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Over 3 years the clutch, cam belt, battery and 2 tyres.
What's most practical about your car?
A big hatch for a small car ensures anything for the tip will fit in
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Electric sunroof and reasonable stereo. It is quite nice to bimble around in. the fact that it is cheap and a few dents have appered mean I can leave it anywhere and not worry about it. It also starts first time after being parked in the airport for weeks at a time.
