Economy
Value
Because the insurance and running costs are quite reasonable, you may have to pay that little bit extra to buy a nice 306.
Costs
Cheap insurance, cheap parts and ok service prices so all round good value.

On the road
Driving
Better than most cars of its size. Ample comfort.
Performance
Grips the road very well and is excellant in the lower gears. The engine gets a bit loud at 70mph and doesn't like being pushed too much. You also may need a bit of a run up when overtaking.

Living with it
Reliability
The car has never let me down. I have had to re-gas the air con and I have had a couple of small electrical probs, but good in the whole.
Image
Still looks really good, especially if you have colour coded bumpers and mirrors.
Comfort
Good interior. I have velour seats which are great. After driving on the motorway for 2 hours there is not an ache to complain of.

Security and Service

Alarm, Immobiliser and deadlocks - no complaints.
Service
Peugeot have serviced and MOT'd the car - no complaints.

Problems and Ownership
Problems
Engine
Throaty and nippy in low gears. Loud and lacks power at speed.

If you are buying second hand, check the air-con before you strike a deal - about £80 to re-gas.
