Economy
Value
Good value for money when bought 2nd hand and holds its residual value quite well.
Costs
Parts are quite expensive when they are needed, generally servicable items bushes, cambelts etc are cheep. Other bits and pieces like Peugeot alloy wheels and trim and panels can be a touch on the expensive side.

On the road
Driving
Handles well with standard steel wheels but absoutly excellent with Peugeot 15 inch alloys with low profile tyres.
Performance
It's a slug. Keep the engine spinning and keep the corner speed up and you'll be ok.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Superbly reliable, just be sure to change the cambelt and oil during the service intervals. Make sure the door looms don't have fraying wires. They are a pain to repair, new ones are the best option.
Image
Slow but excellent handling diesel with a set of 15 inch alloys with low profile tyres. Fuel economy is fantastic, even though performace is sluggish wind it up and keep the corner speed and you find it an exciting and fulfilling drive.
Comfort
Good interior with no rattles. Velour picks up fluff and bits dead easy, a pain to clean.

Security and Service
Security
Deadlocking doesn't work if door skin pierced to gain entry, also factory-fitted car alarm triggers by itself.
Service
Peugeot dealers suck when it comes to servicing. Very expensive for a poorer service that a local private garage can provide. The parts are expensive when they are needed.
