Economy
Value
High depreciation. Has lost £7000 in four years of ownership.
Costs
Servicing at 12000 mile intervals has been a big improvement over the old indirect injection turbo diesel engine fitted to the XTdT. service costs over four years have been less than £1000.

On the road
Driving
Too much body roll. Used to own a 306XTdT before this one and it handled far better on corners. I suspect Peugeot have raised the ride height and spoiled the handling as a result.
Performance
Generally good, but does lack power. Feels as though it could benefit from being ""chipped"" to 110 bhp.

Living with it
Reliability
Excellent. Hasn't let me down.
Image
Looks a bit dated now against new 307, but still manages to look good.
Comfort
Seats are large and well shaped so comfort on long journeys is good.

Security and Service
Security
Immobiliser and deadlocks fitted so no problems.
Service
Very variable from dealer to dealer. Marshalls of Reading supplied and serviced this car without problem. Shileds of Glasgow had it once and were expensive and managed to leave the oil filler cap off.
