Peugeot 306 Hatchback 2.0 Rallye 3d (1999/T) Owner Review

Economy
Value
It lacks all the extras found on the GTi-6, but is little the worse for that, and represents good value in the general context of the market.
Costs
Considering its' performance, it is not really expensive to run. Fuel economy is good. I usually get about 33mpg, and it has been as much as 39mpg.

Driving
It has nicely weighted power steering and engenders total confidence in its handling ability. The seating position is good, and in all respects it's a delightful car to drive.
Performance
It's as quick as most people are likely to want if the engine is worked hard. Also surprisingly tractable, with quite wide torque band, if driven gently.

Reliability
I have had no problems.
Image
I'd perfectly happy to drive this car -even though it has no electric-this or electric-that. Lack of extras (compared to GTi-6) makes the car's mass lower and improves performance and economy a little.
Comfort
Perfectly comfortable.

Security and Service
Security
No alarm, but has an immobiliser. Removal of decals probably helps to lessen attraction for toe-rags.
