I don't know what else I could have bought second-hand, for the same money, that would have given me as much enjoyment.

    Costs

    3 out of 5 3.0

The temptation to put your foot down all the time is to great, which results in 30mpg - if you're lucky. Very thirsty - £45 to fill the tank, and I do that more than once a week.

    Driving

    5 out of 5 5.0

Handling on dry roads is awesome, but I'm not convinced about handling in the wet - a good set of tyres might rectify this.

    Performance

    5 out of 5 5.0

Obviously not as powerful as the GTi-6, but still very enjoyable. It doesn't feel as fast now as when I bought it four months ago, but maybe I'm just getting used to it. Putting your foot down at 100 mph on the motorway gives even more instant speed!

    Reliability

    4 out of 5 4.0

No problems, although can be a little funny if you don't turn the key for long enough after entering the immobiliser code - it chokes a little on the second turn of the key, and then starts soon after. Maybe an "age" thing?

Great! People always look. I have a black, 3-door, and the sporty bumpers, side skirts and spoiler make it look beautiful! Lower the suspension by 30mm and colour-code the plastic bits on the bumper/doors/spoiler and it would be perfect!

    Comfort

    4 out of 5 4.0

Racing seats are nice and give you a lot of support - although they are not ideal for people with "big bones" either. Interior is very nice.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    4 out of 5 4.0

Factory-fitted immobiliser (and maybe alarm too?). Entering the code for the immobiliser into the keypad gets a little irritating when you are in a hurry.

    Service

    2 out of 5 2.0

Typical dealership I think. There was a queue of unhappy customers when I was in there. Quoted £700 for repairs, went elsewhere and got it for £350! I've steered clear of Peugeot since.

  • Problems and Ownership

    Problems

    Engine

    None.

    Other

The boot has been a little "sticky" recently, so hasn't always opened first time. Air bag light is flashing for England and Peugeot couldn't stop it. It's been suggested that I just remove the bulb!

Did you buy from the same manufacturer again?
