Economy
Value
I paid £2,000 for it in February 2002. Superb only 55,000 miles on the clock.
Costs
Am getting 30mpg around town which is pretty good. Parts are expensive and I don't go near the Peugeot dealers for servicing.

On the road
Driving
This is a seriously good car to drive. Excellent ride and handling, slightly obstructive gearchange, but otherwise no complaints.
Performance
This is the 8-valve 2.0-litre, so not hugely powerful but always willing.

Living with it
Reliability
Needed new radiator, but that's it - just the usual exhaust back box, front discs and pads recently.
Image
These cars are cool. Sit low and look good with alloys.
Comfort
The seat is not the most supportive in the lumbar area but does offer decent side bolstering.

Security and Service
Security
The immobiliser is a bit of a pain but does provide extra peace of mind, although it is an old design and if someone had the know how could probably get past it.
Service
The local dealership is always too busy, expensive and not especially helpful.
