Peugeot 306 Saloon 1.9 D 4d (1998/R) Owner Review

Economy
Value
A very refined car for such a low price. Good quality engine.
Costs
Very cheap to run.

On the road
Driving
Sticks to the ground like glue round corners. Front Wheel drive is quite useful sometimes.
Performance
Very slow off the mark, with a short first. Pulls in 2nd and 3rd very nicely. Can't help but feel that the top speed of 100 is a little low for a 1.9.

Living with it
Reliability
Starts always, even in minus 5 etc. After 500 miles continuous use over 1 day, still sounds and acts like it does about town.
Image
The lights make the 306 look 'aggressive' but the puny 13" standard wheels are a bit naff.
Comfort
Basic seating, but some refinements on the interior add to comfort levels.

Security and Service
Security
Its got central locking from remote. Solid body. Someone tried to Gemmy my door open and by the looks of things, gave up!
Service
Cant comment as I haven't had it serviced yet.
