Summary
What does this car say about you?
Joe Average.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
The car has the metallic aluminum finish and cleans up well. It doesn't look to out of place wherever we go. It is French, but it's better than a rover!!!
Would you buy this car again and why?
Maybe. If I did it would have to have a bigger engine and the interior build quality would need to be better.
What are you likely to buy next?
Volkswagen or Mercedes more than likely, but possibly a Ford or Vauxhall.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchise
Did you buy this car new?
Yes
What price did you pay?
£8,200
When did you buy the car?
January 2005
Did you get a good deal and why?
I think I got a good deal bearing in mind the list price was around £11k. This model wasn't selling as well as the others according to the dealer as people though the engine too small. I went in on the last day of the month in January armed with cash. The dealer asked how much I wanted to pay, so I told him. We haggled for around 3 hours back and forth and got free mats, tank of fuel, tax etc..
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
My wife needed a safer car than the she had previously. For example, airbags, higher safety rating as she was due to have our first child.
What was the dealer like?
The dealer was Hartwell's in Bath. They had only just taken on Peugeot franchise as another garage had it before and changed to something like Audi. The dealer was good however the aftersales was appaling!

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
It's a bit gutless but what do you expect from a 1.4. However, it's a 16v and doesn't mind revving so if you really need to put your foot down it's adequate for most things.
What's it like to park?
Easy, however, you can see the front of the bonnet so you have to guess!

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
No, nothing... Yet! There was a recall from Peugeot to seal the ABS braking electronics which was done FoC.
What's most practical about your car?
Two kids, two labs and a roof box. It's a reasonable all rounder that is cheap to run and insure.
