Peugeot 307 Hatchback 1.6 Rapier 3d (AC) (2002/51) Owner Review

Economy
Value
A bit pricey for what you get.
Costs
Dealer facilities definitely overpriced. According to the dealer you can't add accessories to the car unless they are supplied by Peugeot at 3 times the price!

On the road
Driving
Difficult to judge the end of the bonnet; poor rear visability; dashboard is tacky and what's that with the windscreen wipers?
Performance
1.6 engine struggles to pull this lump of a car.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Poor electrics, high wear of engine components.
Image
Isn't symmetrical - not much to ask for an 11 grand car to come with 2 reversing lamps.
Comfort
Not the best driving position in the world; seats are uncomfortable.
-
Security and Service
Security
Alarm not fitted as standard. Manufacturer claims only alarm that can be fitted is their own. Delaer quoted £350 for this service.
Service
Hapless and hopeless. Don't really know what they're talking about. Would have awarded top marks if the question had asked about manufacturer's capacity for lying and ripping off consumers.
