Economy
Value
Wanted a diesel for economy - cheaper than a Golf and probably the best diesel of the rest.
Costs
Maybe the way I'm driving it, but the car has covered 2500 miles and I'm lucky to get 40mpg - disappointing!

On the road
Driving
Good solid drive.
Performance
Nippy, but soon runs out of puff. This is my first diesel and I'm told the HDi is a new generation engine, but still seems damn noisy to me!

Living with it
Reliability
No major problems, but clonking from the rear. Poor bass on the stereo and speakers rattle badly in the doors.
Image
Could be worse.
Comfort
Good interior. Driver's seat back could be more adjustable.

Not had to call upon them yet.
