Summary
What does this car say about you?
The car shouts "house wife". Its ideal for mothers who want to fit push chairs, baby seats and such like in the car. The back doors open wide, plenty of access. Indeed, the 3 previous owners of my car were all women.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Friends are actually quite surprised when they go in the car. I drove myself & 3 mates to Newcastle & back the other week, covering something like 500 miles, all in comfort. There was no complaints.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes. I have been very impressed with the reliability, economy and very low running costs of this car. Whilst it may not be an ideal car for a young lad, it certainly suits me as a daily commuting car.
What are you likely to buy next?
Just bought a brand new £30k 123d Coupe to replace this. Now wishing maybe I hadnt as im only getting 44mpg out of the bmw whereas id get nearly 60mpg out of this 307. Cracking value for money.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Steering is light, brakes are good. It can happily cruise at 80mph all day long and its nice and quiet. Very often when I stop in traffic I have to check I havent stalled it as the diesel engine is so quiet. The 90bhp does feel a bit sluggish if you are used to driving more powerful cars, but the economy is incredible.
What's it like to park?
Easy. The front slopes abruptly so you can squeeze into spaces no problem.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Had the car nearly 3 years and only things had to replace was the suspension top mounts which cost me £10 and brake pads which cost £25 all around. Thats not bad for 40,000 miles.
What's most practical about your car?
Absolutely massive boot on it. Huge. Much bigger than the MK4 VW Golf I previously had. Also 54mpg on average, 650miles from a tank of diesel is impressive.
