Peugeot 308 CC (2009 - 2014) 1.6 THP GT 100 2d Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
When I purchased the car from a dealer it had 48,000 miles on the clock with a full service history and a years warranty Quite a good looking car and nice to drive with roof down. Road holding good. When you park you do have to ensure there is plenty of room as the doors are large.
However, mechanically, it is let down badly with the 1.6 petrol engine(apparently also used in the Mini) it requires a 1 litre topup of oil every 1,000 miles which is apparently normal. Even though I kept up with all the servicing it require, the timing chain had to be replaced at 58,000 miles. Now at 98,000 miles my service engineer tells me it requires a new timimg chain again. So in my opinion, stay clear of the 1.6 petrol engine A really nice car let down with a poor engine design Would never buy a French car again.
How reliable do you find the car?
48,0000 miles with full service history but requires 1 litre of oil every 1000 miles, at 58000 miles the timing chain had to be replaced by Peugeot dealer, car has been well serviced and then at 98000 miles it needs another timing chain, advice is do not buyAbout their car
