Practical, everyday family man.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They're impressed by the fuel economy I'm getting. Other than that, nothing much.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, definately. I'm currently considering getting a second car and I may well buy another 308.

Did you get a good deal and why?
I got a good deal by (a) haggling by showing the dealer other Peugeot 308s with the same specification on Peugeot's approved used list which were cheaper than the forecourt price. (b) Walking away when the dealer wouldn't match the prices shown. The dealer then rang me back the next day with a good deal.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
New baby prompted need for larger car.
What was the dealer like?
Very friendly and helpful. No hard sell. Happy for me and my brother to look at the car for as long as I liked. Had two test drives before finally buying.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Engine is very quiet. Good torque, very happy on steep hills, around town and on the motorway. A sixth gear would have been nice, but the lack of this doesn't detract overall.
What's it like to park?
Very easy to park with good visibility all round. Driver's door pillars are well positioned and skinny so they do not intrude.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Rear brakes needed changing at 20,000 miles, but as it was previously a hire car this was not entirely unexpected.
What's most practical about your car?
Awesome fuel economy: 61.3mpg average over 8000 miles of mixed town, country and motorway driving. The size of the car inside and the boot are a good without feeling like you're driving a big car.

Nothing in particular.
