Peugeot 308 Hatchback (2014 - 2021) 1.2 e-THP (130bhp) Allure 5d Owner Review

In their own words
Rare panoramic roof is a treat. The 1.2 engine is very willing. Gearing is progressive (35/45/55 for 4/5/6th). Big touch-screen responsive and simple to use (ignore the journalist views) and the rear camera very bright compared to the Civic. LED headlights are a great improvement. Seats provide good leg support and the small steering wheel is fun to use. Auto-parking brake works quite intuitively. Very quiet inside the cabin, only tyre noise notable. Big boot and full sized spare. In all, it fees like Peugeot threw the kitchen sink at this car. I cannot believe I see so few of them on the road, considering the build quality. I have saved thousands compared to the nearest Golf equivalent. This is one very solid motor. The gearbox is probably it's only negative, with a fairly long throw and the big alloy knob is freezing in cold weather. I also considered Mazda 3 (too long, spec not great), Yeti (petrol engines not so good) and Volvo V40 (expensive and some tech now old).
How reliable do you find the car?
Too early to tell but the initial build quality a step above my old Mk9 CivicDoes the car do everything you expected it to do?
Sat nav much better (larger, easier to see, better features) than my old Garmin Nuvi. The Allure spec. easily outstripped the Civic ES.About their car
