Peugeot 308 SW (2008 - 2014) 1.6 VTi S 5d Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
This car has only one minor niggle. It could do with a little more bottom end torque. Goes like a dream if you put your foot down, though. I am seriously considering having it remapped from 118 to 136BHP, which will cure the poor torque. I do not intend to sell it. Instead I am going to invest in: S/steel exhaust. Alloy wheel refurbishment (maybe change to gunmetal). New shocks. Might even have it wrapped to freshen the colour, but not until I've done all the other stuff first. It passes its MOT every time with no advisories (so far). Its ride is firm but comfortable. Great sports seats. Plenty of room. Good all-round visibility - no need for parking sensors. Aircon. Radio/CD. Elec windows/mirrors. Cruise control/speed limiter. Space-saver spare. Alloy wheels. Full glass 'moon roof'' with electric sliding blind. Adjustable steering wheel. Usual folding rear seats giving huge load area. Seatbelts and mountings in place to make it a seven-seater, if I wanted to spend the money on extra seats (which I don't, really, as there's just the two of us and a cocker spaniel). Roof rails. Plenty of interior storage/cup holders etc. Like I said, I'm not going to sell it - unless I can suddenly afford a 308CC, which is unlikely.
How reliable do you find the car?
This car has been 100% reliable. My garage man says "You've got a good 'in. Stick with it."Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
I love it. Even after 4.5 years, I still like the look of it and still love driving it. Handles like a dream on its Michelin Pilot 225/45 R17s.About their car
