Peugeot 308 SW (2014 - 2021) 1.6 BlueHDi (120bhp) GT Line 5d Owner Review

In their own words
Bought second hand from a JCT dealer expecting it to be in tip top condition. On the surface it certainly was, but quite soon after buying, I started to get niggling problems. Front shock absorbers were fixed under JCT warranty, but they discovered the cam carrier seals on the engine were leaking even though i had never noticed a drop in oil pressure or volume. That cost £800, which i'm convinced didnt need doing. Since then the car has been pretty reliable except wear and tear replacements - tyres, discs/pads, suspension arms, drop links etc. Tax is great at £35 a year.
Best MPG i've had is about 60mpg on the motorway on a 250mile run. Town driving in Leeds gets me about 46mpg depending how hard it's driven. The boot space is amazing on the SW and really came into it's own when we went camping or on holiday in the UK. I put a tow bar on mine and had no issues pulling a small 5ft trailer. There is a know issues with these where the Ad Blue pump fails and requires replacing, which is a £1500 cost, but mine worked faultlessly.
The car is now 10yrs old and it's time to move it on.
