Peugeot 405 Saloon 1.6i GLX 4d (SR) (1994/M) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Lacks that eye catching theme but has a few features that give it a three star rating, a/c and steering column controls for the radio. The radio was quite basic for a car with potential.
Costs
Roughly 350 miles to a full tank of fuel. Has a tendancy to require new parts that if not expensive....require a lot of time to repair so watch out for labour charges!

On the road
Driving
Holds the road really well, but the power steering could be much better by my experience. Very comfortable and very smooth ride!
Performance
Surprisingly quick for a 1600 saloon. Don't expect 0-60 in less than 10 seconds though! A nippy comfortable car for long distant drivers.

Living with it
Reliability
Even though my car has done a fair bit of mileage I feel as though I have to change at least one gaskit somewhere yearly so watch out for leakages!
Image
The car has a sporty look to it even if it is a family car! It is a lovely car to look at even without the added spoiler.
Comfort
Probably the most comfortable car around! The seat adjustments are easy to use and very accurate so you do not have to fiddle about to get comfortable! Adjustable steering wheel is an added bonus!

Security and Service
Security
Alarm and immobiliser with a flashing led light as a deterent. Cover for the radio stops potential theives from seeing its prey!
Service
I can always find a part for the car at the manufacturer without hassle. Some electrical parts can be expensive but not all general wear and tear parts are too over priced!
