Peugeot 405 Saloon 1.9 SRi 4d (1990/G) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Not bad.
Costs
Only costs really are when coming to fill up. You need the 70-litre tank as round town 24mpg is expected and at 70mph, around 32mpg.
-
On the road
Driving
Excellant to drive. The car feels responsive, predictable and sure-footed.
Performance
Strong performance, even at 130,000 miles. Can still beat most hot hatches like the Golf GTi.

Living with it
Reliability
Very realiable; starts up first time everytime.
Image
Surprises a lot of people in SRi form. Kinda gets rid of the smelly old man in a rain coat image.
Comfort
Good comfort on long journeys, plenty of legroom front and back if with the front seats fully back. Amazing heater, especially in the winter for keeping that takeaway hot.

Security and Service
Security
Mine has an alarm which is extremely sensitive, but apart from that not a lot.
