Peugeot 405 Saloon 2.0 SRi Cat 4d (1993/K) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Old models are excellent models - no other car has so many gadgets for year.
Costs
Parts expensive. New CAT was £270, but reliable for a year now, touch wood.

On the road
Driving
Fine. High chasis means it does roll a bit on bends.
Performance
Upper speed pick up very good. Bad at idling.

Living with it
Reliability
Always starts, but have had two fairly major probs.
Image
Certainly better than a Sierra, Montego or Renault 21.
Comfort
Very comfy and adjustable seats. Leg space.
-
Security and Service
Security
Apparently very poor immobiliser system, so I read, but electric locking.
