Peugeot 405 Saloon 2.0 STi Cat 4d (2002/51) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Very cheap to buy and comes with buckets of extras to play with.
Costs
Original parts a bit costly, but lots available at breakers. Only £45 to fill tank!

On the road
Driving
Very, very comfortable - only problem is driver's seat is too high and has no height adjustment!
Performance
It is much faster than it looks, which is nice coz it wipes the smile off most boy racers' faces!
-
Living with it
Reliability
Used to start without having to pump throttle. Takes a little encouragement now, though.
Image
It's not a Lotus, but it's fast, furious and fantastic!
Comfort
STi is more executive than SRi, with excellent interior with comfy seats.

Security and Service
Security
Factory fitted alarm and immobiliser are ok, but alarm and remote locking can be temperamental!
Service
High prices and even higher labour costs! Go to breakers and you can take some change home too!

Problems and Ownership

Engine

Has a water leak in boot which can't be found!
