£16,500 brand new (Irish import) - £11,500 two years later - aint complaining.

Over 34,000 miles - 2 x services at a main dealer - £100 each. 4 x tyres at about £85 each, all on the front. Still original rears. New Pads all round at 30,000 miles - about £100 again. Day to day fuel consumption 44mpg - anything up to 60mpg on a run.

On the road
Driving
Fun! Excellent brakes, forgiving handling and more torque than you really need. Not that quick off the mark, but an effortless cruiser.
Performance
It's not a GTi... It's a torquey cruiser, with plenty of guts to drag it out of bends and up hill with minimum gear changing.

Living with it
Reliability
No worries.
Image
You can't argue with pininfarina - it radiates class. People will look at you on car parks, you'll admire the car in shop windows and still get let out of side streets. Other 406 coupes tend to flash you as well :)
Comfort
Comfy Recaro seats. Major controls obvious in within easy reach. Factory-supplied stereo poor, though.

Security and Service
Security
It's been left in all sorts of dodgy places, and always been there when I got back.
Service
Local Pugeot main dealer friendly and reliable.
