  • Economy

    Value

    3 out of 5 3.0

Good value vs. a Mondeo. air con is a big plus, but get one with climate control if you can. Rear screen shade is a nice touch and helps keep the kids cool. Other than that not many toys - go for an executive!

    Costs

    4 out of 5 4.0

Was getting 36mpg at first, but now about 30mpg

  • On the road

    Driving

    3 out of 5 3.0

Not really a driver's car. Handling is fairly average due to the soft suspension. Comfortable on motorways, but mine gets a little noisy (180k miles)

    Performance

    2 out of 5 2.0

1.8 does the job, but that's about it

  • Living with it

    Reliability

    5 out of 5 5.0

140k when I bought it 2 years ago, now 180k and still going strong, so i'm going for an estate executive version next time!

    Image

    3 out of 5 3.0

Dull, but a bit nicer than a similar aged Mondeo. Interior is unimpressive with authentic plastic wood

    Comfort

    3 out of 5 3.0

A more adjustable seat would be nice, but the standard positioning is pretty good. View is good

  • Security and Service

    Security

    2 out of 5 2.0

No alarm on mine (I think a previous owner disabled it when it started playing up). Immobiliser + r/c/l

    Service

    3 out of 5 3.0

Never been to a Peugeot garage. The independent garage I've been going to for years have no problems (and rate the car highly too!)

  • Problems and Ownership

    Problems

    Engine

Only engine work was a blocked fuel filter which caused loss of power. Cheap to get replaced. Starting to use a lot of oil now

    Other

Electrics seem to be going a bit scatty (mirrors have packed in + needles jump around). N/ S window trim unstuck. Bottom of front door seals unstuck, but still effective

    Ownership

Did you buy the car new?

    Used

Would you buy the same model again?

    Yes

Did you buy from the same manufacturer again?

    Yes
