Economy
Value
Paid €5500, (just under £3800). Might sound quite a bit for UK prices, but by Irish standards, it was a real bargain.
Costs
Decent on fuel - comparable to the Mondeo. Only had to replace a H7 bulb so far.

On the road
Driving
All-round great drive. Nice feedback from steering wheel and pedals. Precise steering and little body roll.
Performance
Engine only 1.8 - heavy body needs a 2.0 or 2.2 for better pull. Not slow by any means though. There's no AC, so I can do 0-60 in just under 11s. Gearbox a joy to work with. Nice and smooth, not notchy at all. Good in town, great on the open road.

Living with it
Reliability
No mechanical trouble. Engine looks very well put together. Good healthy sounds and smells from it. Get an erroneous "Brake Fluid Low" warning when I use the handbrake sometimes. Known problem - microswitch needs to be replaced.
Image
Looks great from the front with it's Pininfarina styling. The wedge shape leads up to a high rear (big flat boot), but not bad looking from behind.
Comfort
Fully adjustable driver's seat and steering wheel. Comfortable for passengers too. Plenty of legroom. Good size boot. Nice pedals, not tiring at all on long drives. Toured Donegal (rough roads, mountain passes and steep ascents/descents) in great comfort.

Security and Service
Security
Not a victim yet. Alarm and immobiliser. standard. No deadlock on mine though, but is available.
Service
Had one done privately before buying the car. Another one due very soon - will see then.
