Peugeot 406 Saloon (1996 - 2004) 2.0 HDi GLX (90bhp) 4d (AC) Owner Review

Bought this 406 in 2007, so owned it nearly 14 years now, the first time I drove the car it seemed so smooth and comfortable, even luxurious compared to past diesels I've owned, it still drives the same. As it's a saloon it has a large boot area and the rear seats fold down to give more room, I sometimes wish it was an estate but I've got a roof rack on so can carry ladders, timber etc.. Over the years I've changed a couple of wheel bearings, front and rear coil springs, most brake pipes and a brake light switch, I also changed the starter motor as it was getting lazy, the only time it's let me down (apart from a flat battery) was when the fuel pump failed I replaced it and been good ever since,still feels like a new car, just a shame you can't buy a new one anymore......
