Economy
Value
New prices are as you'd expect in a crowded market competitive. Ex-demos represent excellent value but shop around and be cheeky!
Costs
So far so good. 20,000 between servicing on the diesel, with an optional in-between free 10,000, if you so wish. Diesel proving frugal.

On the road
Driving
Typical Pug - for a big car it handles very well, very confidently. Very impressive for such a large car.
Performance
In 1 word superb. I have driven some diesels in my time, but with 136 horses under the bonnet, she shifts beautifully. Very good diesel engine. Makes you wonder what the proposed V6 diesel will be like.

Living with it
Reliability
Too early to say yet. Initial niggle with the tyre sensors giving a reading of low pressure, but this is minor.
Image
Does it look like a bulldog chewing a wasp or is it one of the most beautiful and striking cars on the road. Very subjective. For me, I love it, and it certainly attracts the looks.
Comfort
A criticism of the 406 was poor seats. This cannot be levied at the new Pug. Very comfy for long journeys, and very supportive. Good driving position.

Security and Service
Security
Its still here!
Service
Pug garages seem to be at 2 extremes - extremely poor or extremely good. I have experienced both, and unfortunately my local one is the poor one! Never mind! I hope I don't need to visit it very often.
