Family love it. Wife hates the "bling"colour (White gold/chrome). Others think I should by German!
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes-Comfortable and powerful, and a bit different to the rest. Does all it should.
What are you likely to buy next?
A 508 SW...So long as they do a 3.0ltr V6 diesel! update 23/6/10 recently went to RCZ launch event. Hmm............

Did you get a good deal and why?
Reasonable-gave best trade in on previous car and moved £650 in haggling.Previous 407 SW did depreciate quite badly, but it had done a lot of miles
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
To Replace previous 407 SW 1.6Hdi that had done a lot of miles in 2 years....
What was the dealer like?
Very helpful and un-pushy, one of the reasons I went back to them. They previously looked after my 1.6hdi and although the car had faults they sorted them out quickly and always gave me a loan car while it was being fixed. I don't expect perfection from the cars but the dealer service made up for this. They ring me up occasionally and ask if i am still happy,they know what it's been back in for too, whenever they call so they seem to be paying attention.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Very comfortable, drove it back from Paris recently in one go with 4 of us in with no complaints.Handles well and brakes powerful.Superb acceleration even at high speed. Visibility not so good out of the rear.
What's it like to park?
Tricky but i'm used to it.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Leaking diesel fuel injector has had it back in the dealers twice.Update,another leaking injector at 33K will have to go in soon.Poor performance at 30K led me to have the oil/filter changed half way between intervals, the state of the oil and filter and renewed performance tell me that 20K is too long.Suggest 10K is better for a long life.Some software glitches of the "random reset" type.New cabin filter at 25K fixed poor air temperature control. Update 23/6/10 38k big oil leak from failed rocker cover gasket,dealer lent me a 207 and did in 2 days and promised reduced labour cost for 40k service by way of apology. Fair enough. Update 16/1/11 47,000 brake pad warning been on for 3 weeks and it was telling the truth,wife lost her job last autumn and couldn't face the £90/hr labour.
What's most practical about your car?
Reasonable space in the back. Reasonable fuel consumption for such a powerful car (39mpg av).Update-life average so far is 44mpg@33K. Tyre life one pair (20k front/10k rear) lasted 31k total.The other pair (20k rear, then moved to front) still have life left at 33K-very good I think. Update 23/6/10 tyres got changed at 35k, very respectible life I think
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Two things, The panoramic roof is super and the RT4 Satnav/Dukebox is very good too. Electric leather seats nice.
