Never - no consumer confidence what so ever in Peugeot. The vehicle looks appealing, but I've never owned a vehicle before in my life that has had soooo many faults with so few miles. I'm insulted when Peugeot sends advertisements; suggesting a 2009 purchase. Peugeot's engineering team need to go back to engineering school and learn the basics. And Peugeot senior management team needs to stop performing analysis i.e. Six Sigma, Lean, Earned Value and manufacturer a reliable vehicle. In 2 years the 407 depreciates in value by more than 75% of its original showroom sticker price.

Have you had any problems with the car?
Numerous problems have been encountered with 2006 Peugeot 407 e.g. rocker cover gasket (20K) audio system (defective manual controls, lower ball joints, depollution fault (throttle body / defective servo motor)@ 31 K miles, cam belt replaced @ 31K mile, steering rack swivel and adjacent mounting fixture - broken @ 46K miles. Intermittent and erroneous electronic fault messages (tyre pressure, side lamp bulbs,etc). Replaced side lamp buld and had to reprogramme audio system settings.
