Peugeot 5008 (2010 - 2016) 1.6 HDi Access 5d ETG Owner Review

Overall satisfied my needs as wanted a 7 seater with lowish road fund licence and good fuel consumption. Only drawback is the electronic gearbox which can give you a very jerky gearchange until you learn how to reduce the revs to assist with the gearchange. If this car still came with the usual automatic box with torque converter or better still the later EAT6/8 box I’d be more than happy. The Clutch and twin plate flywheel failed 4 weeks after I bought the car resulting in a total loss of drive with no warning, fortunately the Peugeot dealer replaced foc or the cost would have been well over £1000. Reading various forum posts 40,000 miles is about the average life expectancy of these clutches/flywheel.
