We bought our 2014 1.6hdi 508 SW 2.5 years ago at 40,000 miles, it’s now on 74,000 and running beautifully. The fuel consumption on this car is amazing, it’s never dropped below 50mpg, and over the past 6200 miles, has averaged 57.8mpg. Genuinely capable of doing 1000 miles between fuel stops. It’s comfortable, and well equipped, the panoramic roof is a major bonus, and overall this has been (and continues to be) one of the very best all round cars we have owned, and the list includes everything from a Fiat Panda to a Jaguar X358 XJ.
Downsides, well it wasn’t the quickest car to drive, with just 112bhp originally, but a cost effective professional remap has taken it to 140bhp and transformed it, and also improved even further the brilliant fuel consumption figures too.
Buy a good one and enjoy it, a fabulous all round family estate.
