£0
When did you buy the car?
July 2012
Did you get a good deal and why?
Yes...dealer seemed to be able to get an 'extra' discount from peugeot ireland, could not find another dealer that could match the price.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Had a 2007 Honda Accord Type-S which i found to be on the small size and had overly firm suspension so looking for something with more space for a growing family and more comfortable.

Seems good.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
On 17inch tyres ride is good, firm but comfortable. Good refinement with a little bit of wind noise. Engine is 2.0 140bhp and has good shove when you put the foot down so plenty for overtaking on the backroads. Comparing to the new passat it is not as refined or the ride is not as comfortable, I would say in these area the passat is probably 10% better but the 508 is a nicer car to sit in/look at and you get more gadgets.
What's it like to park?
Parking sensors help but it is a wide car.
-
Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Nothing yet...but it's French. Previous Honda Accord was bullet proof.
What's most practical about your car?
Decent space in the front/back seems on par with the passat but the passat has a bigger boot. S.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Active model so it has everything you normally need, like the bluetooth, parking sensors and the way the wing mirrors automatically fold in when the car is locked. The panoramic roof is brilliant.
