Summary
What does this car say about you?
Don't know.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Some say it's nice looking; most don't comment.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Don't know. Electrical & technology problems are putting me off. Nice comfortable car though, so maybe buy a lower model with less gadgets to go wrong. Dealers need to be better equipped&trained to deal with the hi-tech gadgets.
What are you likely to buy next?
Not sure. Will maybe be downsizing next time, so possibly Audi A3 or similar.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchised
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£16,000
When did you buy the car?
August 2012
Did you get a good deal and why?
The deal was reasonable, not exceptional. I needed a tow bar and the price for that almost caused the deal to fall through.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Fuel economy and specification.
What was the dealer like?
OK. Nothing special about the service. I ordered a removable towbar, but when the car came it had a fixed one. Dealer never rectified the problem and refused to sort the issue out. Highly unprofessional.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
OK. Comfortable ride and quiet on most roads. My 140bhp version a bit sluggish on overtaking. Too much shifting down in gearbox to get performance. If I was buying again I would go for 163bhp.
What's it like to park?
It's a big car, so parking sensors are a must. Front & rear parking sensors fiitted on mine. These are a must on a car this size. Saves an awful lot of frustration when parking. Don't buy one without it!

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Keyless entry has given bother on several occasions and the dealer does not seem to be able to resolve it. I have wasted significant amounts of time driving 40 miles to dealer, waiting for hours, only to be told they can't rectify the problem and car will need to come back in at a later date and be left for several days. This has happened twice. Rear parking sensors have also gone faulty and had to be replaced.
What's most practical about your car?
Large boot and easy fold rear seats.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
2 things: Parking sensors front & rear Full length glass roof. My last car (Avensis tourer) also had this; find it strange now in a car without it.
