Economy
Value
Not cheap, but good all round if you have lots of kids.
Costs
Expensive servicing, with some costly replacements, i.e. clutch/flywheel brake discs etc. Started servicing myself now. MPG fair for diesel.

On the road
Driving
Fairly good for its size, but steering and clutch with age seem to get heavier. Good on long journeys, i.e. Poland!
Performance
Older style diesel, so bit sluggish. Once on motorway ok. Have done 6 up plus an old caravan OK.

Living with it
Reliability
Nothing that has ever left us by the side of the road. But loads of electrical things have stopped working, ie washers, clock, 1 electric window switch, rev counter, air conditioning etc.
Image
Its a people carrier, it does the job without having to look especially good. Packs a lot in for its compact size. My wifr now hates to driver smaller and lower vehicles.
Comfort
Driver and front passenger fine. Not that big a space for adults in back, but seats can be moved for more room, but you loose boot space. The girls get sick sometimes, but the boys in the back read all day without being ill!

Security and Service
Security
Silly key pad start system which falls apart. Central locking remote, the key can break. No alarm on mine.
Service
Costly at main dealer.
