Peugeot e-208 Hatchback 100kW GT Premium 50kWh 5dr Auto Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
I have owned a number of cars in my 35 years of driving, but this was my first Peugeot (and my first French) car. I have not been disappointed. It was my intention to buy a Seat Leon hybrid, but decided at the last minute to take a look at a fully electric car to compare the two.
As soon as I sat inside the 208 I knew I was going to be smitten. The interior is something to behold. It has been put together extremely well and looks great. It certainly has the wow factor. The small steering wheel takes a little getting used to, as does having to look over the wheel to see the instrument panel. I have, however, adapted to this with no issues whatsoever. I would say that space in the rear is tight, and this car might not be suitable for those who often have passengers in the back.
I especially enjoy driving the e-208. It is lovely. I commute 25 miles daily, four days each week in the eco mode. This includes 20 miles on the busy M65 motorway. I have had no issues with the battery range. I recharge once a week at home during the night when on the economy electricity rate with my energy supplier. It costs me less than £4.00 each week, which is astounding.
To summarise, I would say that I have had no regrets in my purchase. I have overcome any initial 'range' concerns I may have had, and have fully embraced EV ownership.
