Peugeot e-308 SW verdict
Should you buy one?
Yes, the Peugeot e-308 SW makes a great electric family car. If you’re looking for an alternative to an SUV but want something equally practical, this Peugeot has plenty of merits.
It compliments petrol, diesel and hybrid versions of the 308 SW, while retaining all of the standard estate car’s strengths. It is expensive, however, but be mindful of generous dealer discounts. Either way, you’re likely to get behind the wheel of an MG5 and Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer Electric for less money.
What we like
The Peugeot e-308 SW is one of the most comfortable electric cars we’ve driven, and it’s an ideal choice for UK roads, while still being enjoyable and entertaining to drive. The boot is also huge, yet the car is stylish and packs a high-quality interior.
What we don’t like
The Peugeot e-308’s list price is very expensive for what it is, and though dealers are advertising new models for a lot less money, Peugeot would be better off reducing the asking price from the start. The e-308 SW’s performance is also average, and the driving position – like in all modern Peugeot interiors – won’t suit everyone.
