Peugeot RCZ Coupe (2010 - 2015) 1.6 THP GT (01/13-) 2d Owner Review

In their own words
Multiple breakdowns and sensor Faults, especially coolant sensors, which are buried in the engine. At one point my temp dial fluctuated with the stereo, like an old school graphic equalizer.
The car looks good on the outside, however has too many flaws to recommend.
Alloys started to corrode at 3,000 miles and under 1 year (mostly due to not being painted correctly - it was barely overspray).
What ever you do, do not park this under any trees, as twigs pine cones etc will dent the body work extremely easily. When I got rid of my car, Dent Devils had to pull around 30 small dents out of the bodywork. Part of this is due to how the roof is designed and being very prone to impact damage.
The leather seats are also prone to sagging (happened on mine after about 4,000 miles).
Standard stereo is very poor quality.
Interior is a little on the cheap side, however the car is priced well below its German rivals.
Low profile tyres are both very expensive relative to the car cost (unusual size) and are very prone to punctures, especially if you hit a pothole in the road.
Engines lack power for the look of the car and struggle at motorway speeds, resulting in a slightly sluggish feel.
Quite a few annoying rattles in the car even when new.
The steering, whilst not terrible, was a bit loose and lacked feel, which did not provide confidence. The ride is also a little jittery, especially over bumpy terrain.
The car does look the part and looked pretty modern when I purchased it in 2012, however it is really let down by some build quality issues and niggling faults.
Peugeot also do not have the best record when it comes to customer service (I had many intermittent sensor faults and the garage kept saying it needs to be doing it when I drop the car off, or they will not pay for it. I had taken videos of it being a fault on my phone, however they would not accept this and the car pretty much had to break down before they would look at repairing it under warranty).
Personally, I would not recommend as a second hand buy, as it was pretty bad even when new.
