Peugeot RCZ Coupe (2010 - 2015) 2.0 HDi GT 2d Owner Review

In their own words
So I picked up a slightly abused 2010 RCZ GT HDi with Satnav and Xenons (both options circa £2500 together) but well worth it. This being a project I am replacing some parts that I could have gotten away with for a few thousand more miles. Cambelt is die at 112000 miles or 10 years, replaced now at 99000/9 years, that from a dealer will cost you on fixed price servicing around £400 for the OEM parts, from a speciallist it will be around £300. At around 100k expect to replace bushes or suspension parts, you may also need to replace the FAP fluid which at £60 per litre isnt cheap (3 litres required), with fitting it will be pushing £400, if you do town driving you will use more (you should get 50k miles out of it though). DPF's can be an issue if you dont do long runs out so not recommended if you just do town driving. Look out for oil leaks, head gasket issues (though pretty rare), coolant loss (cheap fix at £5.50 for a new cap from Peugeot). Brake discs are the larger 340mm (same size as the 200THP's) and larger than the 302mm that you get on the 156THP. The engines are pretty tough otherwise, check the oil regulary and avoid the 20k service intervals, change the oil at around 10k miles. Its a good car if you want something different and has a better following than many other coupe's, the engines are the point most owners have discussions about, buy petrol for town and diesels for longer motorway trips, the petrols do suffer more issues but like anything, keep on top of the maintenance and you should be ok. Oh and check the jacking points as they bend very easily.
How reliable do you find the car?
