Should you buy one?

That really depends on what you’re looking for in a big luxury SUV. If you’re looking for ample rear space for passengers in a comfortable package that makes a design statement, this car is for you. However, if like many, it’s a big boot you’re needing, look elsewhere. It’s not small as such, yet a baby’s typical selection of necessary equipment will easily fill it, let alone the stuff you’ll need for a holiday.

Assuming this isn’t a problem, the Polestar 3 should be high up your luxury SUV shortlist. It’s a comfortable, luxurious way to travel that still handles well in the bends, and it’s quick, too. The driving range is good and rear space is almost limousine-like.

It’s a better driving and more special feeling thing than the Mercedes EQE SUV, more efficient and welcoming than an Audi Q8 E-Tron, although the BMW iX is a better blend of luxury and utility.

What we like

The performance, handing and space inside. It feels like a calming, luxurious environment and has a good range.

What we don’t like

The Performance Pack is too firm and the boot is small. There’s also too many functions in the touchscreen; a few more buttons for things like the heating and mirrors would go a long way.
