Safety equipment on the Porsche 911 Cabriolet is high. Kit includes front, side and head airbags, a sophisticated electronic stability control called PSM (or Porsche Stability Management) and some of the best brakes in the business. It’s not been crash tested by Euro NCAP, but we suspect that it would score well if it was; such is the strength of the body.

Cabriolets are never going to be the most practical of cars but for a performance car the Porsche 911 fares quite well. One of the most important features is how long it takes to open and close the top. It only takes 13 seconds and that can be performed at speeds of up to 31mph. The fabric-folding roof is operated by a button on the centre console or you can close it from outside the car via a remote control.

Porsche has worked hard to give you the optimum load room even with the roof down. That means you get 135 litres of load space in the front while there is 155 litres in the rear. You may struggle to fit the golf clubs in but a few soft bags will be able to be stowed away easily.
