Summary
What does this car say about you?
That I take pleasure from my car. Does cause some jealousy
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Everybody very complementary and all the boys now want one
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes but maybe tempted by aircooled version as weekend toy for an even more raw experience. It is true what they say about being hooked on 911 once you have one
What are you likely to buy next?
? An 80's Carrera 3.2 as weekend toy, classic. Less electrics so more chance to play with bits and bobs

Paid market price but when buying a porsche you don't want a lemon. Came with a 12 month warranty and they knew what they were talking about. Tried out several first
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Brought my 1st 911 as a treat, have always wanted one and more of an experience than a boxter. Also a useable everyday car and for the security of 4 wheel drive

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Wonderful. Full of feel and alive but also not taxing on motorways. Tried several before deciding on 2WD versus 4WD. Minor trade off in steering feel at low speed balanced by safety and higher stability at speed. Don't miss not getting turbo. Had it dynoed and still putting out 317 BHP, does 0-60 mph in 5 seconds and tops 177 mph so can't ask for more than that. One option which I am tempted by is sports exhaust as it is a bit quiet!
What's it like to park?
Not too bad. Good general visability but did decide to fit reversing sensors

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Only minor service issues such as coil pack £30 , but decided to change all 6 and initial airbag light gremlin when I fitted a bluetooth system which have now all been sorted out. Lots of scare storys on the net about liner cracks, RMS oil leaks but for the majority of owners a real pleasure. Decided on a mark 2, 3.6 version as they seem more reliable
What's most practical about your car?
Reliability, 4 wheel drive felt very safe during winter ice and snow while friends in GT2s and GT3 having brown pant moments. Also can fit 2 small children in the back. Gets 25-28 mpg day to day
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
PSM stability control excellent allows 7 degree of slip before intervening. Lovely steering feel and alive, involving drive. Makes my previous BMW M3 feel a bit dead in feel
