yes but with a COMPREHENSIVE WARRANTY ONLY. it's a great sensation to drive and looks cool.
What are you likely to buy next?
I traded it in for a new nissan 350z which is a great car. After that, maybe a newish c4s?

Did you get a good deal and why?
got a really good deal as had 102k miles on clock but was in pristine condition inside and out and only 1 owner
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
always loved 911's and had to be in silver. Was going to buy a 996 turbo but thought the carrera 4 was nicer all round and alot cheaper and looks the same as the one in gone in sixty seconds.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Thrilling! Fabulous sporty sound from engine especially when you hit 6500rpm - yeeehah! Put a smile on my face and made me understand why it is such an iconic car. However, the front end gets a bit light when you go over bumpy roads and speeds over 100mph - not confidence inspiring.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
yes! DO NOT BUY A PORSCHE WITHOUT COMPREHENSIVE WARRANTY. ie I paid for porsche, Reading £270 for a 111 point check before purchsing it from the private owner - tested all fine so purchased it. Air Flow Meter went the next day - they advised me it was a 'conicendence' it had gone so soon after testing and bad luck so had to pay porsche £680 to get it replaced!! A few months later, sometimnes slipping out of 2nd gear - advised by indi porsche speciaist either synchro mesh was going or just gear cable, no replacement part for gear box available so was advised need new gear box so got them to change gear cable (£450)- did't fix the problem so faced with quote for new gear box @ £6K!! Also, to ad to the stress when it was in having the gear cable changed it was dented quite badly.
