Economy
Value
I paid 29k for this and 18monts later it's now worth 26K so that's pretty good. One of my main reasons for a buying a used 911. They hold their money.
Costs
I only do maybe 5000 miles p/a and an independent specialist looks after it so it's very reasonable. The header tank went which was 300 quid. That's all touch wood. I get around 23 to the gallon pottering abounding was £550 for 5000 miles per annum!!

Driving
For a car that's approaching 8 years old it's very sharp and responsive. The grip from those massive tyres is awesome...why would you want a 4? I was a manual fan but the tiptronic is best of both worlds. Don't rule it out till you try one.
Performance
I had an Subaru STI that was quicker but harder work. This develops its BHP in a lazy manner so you end up travelling faster than you think you are. Lift off slightly using the tiptronic on up changes and you even loose the jerk.

Living with it
Reliability
It's an older car so things do go. For me it was the header tank which is common I believe.
Image
With a private plate on it only looks a couple of years old and for the price of a top spec Vectra its got a fantastic image. Someone scratched mine. If you get a 911 become mates with a body shop chap.
Comfort
It's not a motorway mile cruncher but ok unto a couple of hours before you need a stretch.

Security and Service
Security
Always lock it when I'm driving, never leave it on the drive in view. Try to be a hard target as their are plenty of soft ones out there.
Service
Ninemister of Warrington know their Porsches.
