Porsche Boxster 2.5 2d (1997/R) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Pricey, but it is a proper Porsche and most of what you pay you will get back on sale.
Costs
Servicing cheap, even at main dealers. At this age, find a good specialist with cheaper labour rates. Don't be a main dealer snob. Insurance group 17 means sensible premiums.

Driving
Great to drive, rear wheel drive perfect balance. Clutch a little heavy. Geat gearbox.
Performance
More than enough power not scarey, levels which you can enjoy.

Living with it
Reliability
I have had this car 2 years and only a 25p clip on the hood mechanism has broken.
Image
So it's not a 911, but it shares so many parts. Looks the same from the front and goes round corners better. The best image of any Porsche after the 911.
Comfort
Very comfortable diving position, lost of adjustment available on steering and seat.

Security and Service
Security
Both my insurance company and I are more than happy. I have Traker, but don't have it activated.
Service
No problems with main dealers, but specialists just as good.
